Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the grated Parmesan, garlic powder, chopped basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Layer ingredients in the baking dish: spread marinara sauce on the bottom, add noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with marinara topped with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
