Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb bone-in chicken thighs (skin-on)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the chicken: Combine soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, sesame oil, and black pepper in a large bowl. Add chicken thighs and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  2. 2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about five minutes.
  3. 3. Arrange chicken: Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Place thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  4. 4. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for approximately 20 minutes, flipping halfway through until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. 5. Glaze: In the last five minutes of cooking, brush reserved marinade over chicken.
  6. 6. Serve: Transfer to plates and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
