Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Gradually mix in melted butter and milk until a soft dough forms.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. The dough should be slightly sticky.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle (about ½ inch thick). Spread with melted butter and sprinkle with additional brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll tightly from one edge to form a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and place rolls in a greased baking dish with space between them. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with icing (powdered sugar mixed with milk and vanilla). Serve warm.
